About Rockfield House
Rockfield House is a 19th Century long barn on a 1 acre plot. The house and gardens are surrounded by grazing farmland with our nearest human neighbour being half a mile away. Originally named Upperdale Farm and home to dairy cattle, the property has also been used as the local coal yard before being returned to a typical Derbyshire Farmhouse offering Bed and Breakfast. Peak District accommodation as it should be.
Guest Accommodation.
During your stay you will have several rooms at your disposal comprising a south facing, double bedroom with stunning views over the surrounding countryside - sole use of the bathroom with double sized shower and bath - a cosy lounge and dining room equipped with television fridge and reclining chairs.
Parking and transportation.
There is ample off-road, secure parking and if you need help with your bags, please ask. Hourly train services run between Buxton and Manchester and we are happy to provide transport to & from the station for our guests. A bus service provides transport to Bakewell, Matlock and other surrounding towns.
